What is the Hardware?

Keyless is an Innovative initiative that enables the transition to using smartphones as your key enable by the Security Industry Regulatory Authority (SIRA) to elevate safety and security in the Emirate of Dubai. The smart phone connects to an integrated smart lock via Bluetooth or other technologies and allows the user to unlock their door. Keys can be broken, lost and copied, creating security risks. That’s why we believe in a Keyless world. A world where you never have to collect a key to a rental property. Or worry about losing it. The Keyless app turns your mobile phone into a smart key, providing secure and easy access to rental properties, offices, Airbnb’s, and holiday homes. No more key handovers. No more nights spent locked out. No keys. No key cards. Simply lock and unlock the door using your phone.

What it contains?

The Keyless hardware contains a Keyless lock, holder screw (for the door), Wrench (for removing the head of the lock) and keyless access card (provided by admin after the purchase of lock).

PROCESS OF INSTALLATION OF LOCK

1. Extension or removal of the lock according to the size of the door
2. Fixing the lock on the door.

For Extension or Removal of The Lock According to The Size of The Door

For the extension of the hardware there are few steps to follow.

• Firstly, consider the door size while purchasing the Lock. Select the lock according to the size of the door.

The standard size of the lock is 70mm which is considered for 60mm door. Look at the table below for more information of the size of the lock (Table available along with product information)

• According to the door size, you can add or remove extension on the lock to adjust to the door.
• First remove the electronic head using wrench. Hold the wrench tightly on the electronic head as the picture below.

• Move the electronic head anti clockwise with wrench to remove the head.
• Remove the electronic head battery protection.
• Press on the silver color object to push out the retaining clip.
• Retaining clip is removed with the wrench when it stands out (after silver color object is pressed inside retaining clip stands out as shown.

• Once you remove the retaining clip the PCB internal board can be removed easily.

• Adjust the size of the lock by adding or removing extension according to the door. (Fig 1.11)
• Fix it back the same way we removed.

LOCK FIXATION

After the lock is made to correct size using extensions, following steps are followed.

• First, remove the screw on the side of the door.
• Remove the cap of the door handle.
• Remove the screw placed at the handle of the door.
• Once you remove the screw rest of the parts can be removed easily.

Once all the parts of the old lock are removed, and the extension process is finished, the lock is ready for fixing.

• The cylinder of the lock is inserted inside the whole of the lock.

• Make sure that the cylinder is fixed properly in the door.

• On the opposite side of the lock insert the silver ring.

• Insert the battery holder.
• Put the silver key inside the battery holder.

• And then put the cap on top of the battery holder.

• Tighten the battery holder and cap using the tool.

Now, the lock is being installed and operating.
